Welcome to the Vestry.
Having lived and farmed in Llangrannog for the past 25 years, we finally managed to purchase this beautiful property in September 2014 with the goal to create luxury holiday accommodation in Wales. We embarked on a major refurbishment project to create two separate spaces, each with their own individual style to reflect the natural beauty of the building. Working with local craftsmen who have lovingly rebuilt and restored the property we have attempted to create a building with style and quality whilst maintaining many of the original characters and features.
The Lower Vestry, our dog friendly cottages in Llangrannog, has been completely stripped back to the bare stone walls and re-rendered with traditional limestone mortar. The original character of the building has been retained and by opening up the kitchen and living area, we hope to have created a much more spacious room to relax in.The Lower Vestry was originally the stable block and the pebbles in the garden outside were taken from the floor of the building! The original door is still an attractive feature of the main living area, and by reinstalling the traditional woodburning stove, we have tried to maintain the ‘cottage’ feel to the property that will provide warm and cosy accommodation throughout the year.
The Lower Vestry has an enclosed garden and pets are welcome (with an additional charge).
Upstairs the interior of the main living space has been completed 'gutted' and reconstructed to create an open plan area for relaxing, dining and cooking. It has opened up the vestry and made a feature of the beautiful sash windows. The oak floor and staircase have been installed and additional windows added on the top floor to open up and add light to the upper floors. The addition of a large ground floor family bathroom and additional bedroom means that the Upper Vestry can accommodate guests who are not able to use the stairs.
The decked area outside and to the rear of the Upper Vestry provides outdoor space for relaxation and outdoor dining. A quaint summerhouse provides a peaceful spot for escape.
